CAMP02, THE FAQS SO FAR

  • When is camp?
    July 27th to August 3rd 2002
  • Where is camp?
    Camp 2002 will be held at the Wey Valley School in Weymouth Dorset
  • What companies will be coming to camp this year?
    As with the last few years this years camp will be for the members of the 6th Ipswich as well as those from the 12th and 14th Ipswich companies
  • Who is camp for?
    This years camp is open to boys in the Junior, Company and Senior sections
    (Please confirm this with your company if you are not from the 6th)
  • What kind of activities will there be?
    During camp there will be a number of activities for you to take part in such as Bowling, Swimming, Trips and Outings. As well as numerous games, sporting and non-sporting activities on camp
  • What else can you tell me about camp in general?

  • Would we be sleeping in tents or inside?
    The Company and Senior section lads will sleep in tents as usual and the junior boys will be sleeping indoors
  • Who cooks?
    We will have trained chefs on site to cook your food but you will be expected like everyone else to help out occasionally with preparations for or clearing up after meals.
  • How much will it cost?
    Camp this year will cost £95 per boys / officer attending, which will include all 'accommodation', meals and all outings (with the exception of the OPTIONAL Company/Senior section fishing trip)
  • How do I reserve my place for this years camp?
    All you need to do is speak to the Officer in charge of your section at your company and give them a cheque for £15 (deposit)
  • Who do cheques need to be made payable to?
    Your company. so either
    6th Ipswich Boys' Brigade,
    12th Ipswich Boys' Brigade or
    14th Ipswich Boys' Brigade
  • I'm not from your company, do other BB Companies go on camp?
    Yes lots do. Why not have a look at the 1st Felixstowe BB's website (1felixstowe.boys-brigade.org.uk) to see what they do on camp
  • Wow, this sounds great. I'm not in the BB but I'd like to join. What do I do?
    Either
    email us (the 6th Ipswich) if you would like to join us or
    Visit the Ipswich Battalion's website (ipswich.boys-brigade.org.uk) to find a company closer to you in Ipswich (and the surrounding area) or the BB's National Site (www.boys-brigade.org.uk) to find a company which is closer to you if you are out of the area.
